What makes Ponte Roma special?

Ponte Roma is a double interlock knit fabric. Its denser construction gives the fabric more structure than regular jersey while keeping it comfortably stretchy.

Ponte Roma combines comfort with a polished appearance, making it particularly well suited to workwear. Garments made from the fabric look smart while still feeling relaxed and comfortable to wear.

Ponte Roma in Nakoa garments

The composition of Nakoa’s Ponte Roma fabrics varies from one product to another. We use both cotton-based and viscose-based Ponte Roma fabrics.

The Ponte Roma fabric used in the Casual Chic Shirt contains 98% organic cotton and 2% elastane. Breathable cotton feels comfortable against the skin, while elastane adds stretch to the fabric.

The Interlock Ponte Roma used in solid-colour pieces from the Everyday Chic Collection contains 70% LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose, 25% polyamide and 5% elastane. Printed pieces are made from 95% LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose and 5% elastane.

Viscose gives Ponte Roma a beautiful lustre, softness and fluid drape. It also absorbs moisture well and feels comfortable against the skin.
