Lightweight, breathable and naturally cool

Linen is a natural fibre known for its lightness, breathability and excellent ability to conduct heat. Thanks to its good moisture-absorbing properties, linen feels pleasantly cool against the skin and is especially well suited to warm days.

The natural look and feel characteristic of linen become softer and more beautiful with wear. Linen’s slightly wrinkled appearance is part of the nature of the material and gives the garment a relaxed, natural look.

Key properties of linen:

How to care for linen

Linen naturally resists dirt, so linen garments do not need to be washed after every wear. Often, simply airing the garment is enough to freshen it between wears.

The recommended washing temperature for Nakoa’s linen garments is 40°C. Turn the garment inside out before washing and use a mild liquid detergent. Wash linen garments with plenty of room and water.

The garment may release some colour during the first wash, so wash it with similar colours. As is typical of natural materials, linen may also shrink slightly during washing.

Avoid high spin speeds, as they can increase wrinkling. Remove the garment from the washing machine as soon as the cycle is finished, reshape it while damp and hang it to dry. Linen straightens out best while damp.
